I went out to one of our rigs in the Bass Strait this past week. I had a good time and really learned a lot. I spend so much time in the office writing procedures for the rigs to use, so it's really great to be able to get out there and see it all happening. It was cool to see all of the seals who just hung out near - and on - the platform.
I was really glad to get home. Life on the rig is a little different than life in the Harline home. I was especially glad to come home to a clean house and a wife that doesn't tell dirty jokes.

Good for you to get out of the office. The water is incredibly blue.
my dad worked on rigs when we were growing up. he could tell you about life on one.
